ACZM Ultra-short Course International Scholarship Call for Applications
AAZV’s International Committee, in collaboration with the American College of Zoological Medicine, is pleased to announce the ACZM-sponsored ultra-short course scholarship call for applications. The goal of the scholarship is to provide help in preparing for the board certification exam to members of the international zoo veterinary community with a serious intent to obtain ACZM Diplomate status.
The scholarship covers the cost of ONE full registration to the ultra-short course offered at the 2017 AAZV conference in Dallas-Frisco, TX, USA. Please note that the scholarship DOES NOT cover lodging, transportation, or registration to the AAZV conference. Each applicant is responsible for those costs.
To apply: Submit a) the application form (Click here for application form), b) a letter of intent (1 page max), and c) a short resume (2 page max.). Please note: points are awarded to applicants that satisfy credentialing requirements (http://www.aczm.org) in addition to the criteria used for the International Conference Scholarship at the following link, http://www.aazv.org/?page=301. In your letter of intent please explain what your career goals are and how this course will help you achieve those goals.
The deadline for application is June 4, 2017; and the scholarship recipient will be notified by 26 June. The recipient of the award must send confirmation of conference registration by 29 July. In the rare case that the ultrashort course is canceled due to lack of participation, the scholarship cannot be awarded and the recipient will be notified as soon as possible.
Submit all application materials to Dr. Rob Hilsenroth (RhilsenrothAAZV@aol.com ). If you have questions, you can address them to Dr. Benji Alcantar (email@example.com) or Dr. Doug Whiteside (firstname.lastname@example.org).
