There are dozens — perhaps hundreds — of nonprofit organizations working to save critical habitats worldwide.

But who is helping the wild animals that are sick … injured … or even dying? And who is helping the zoo animals that in many cases are our only hope to prevent extinction?

We are with The Wild Animal Health Fund.

Each year, The Wild Animal Health Fund provides grants to help zoo and wildlife veterinarians worldwide conduct groundbreaking research. Findings from these studies help improve the quality of life for zoo animals and wildlife.

With discoveries funded by The Wild Animal Health Fund, zoo and wildlife professionals can cure disease, prevent chronic illness and infection, and better manage the pain these animals often endure in solitary, heartbreaking discomfort.  But there are numerous challenges to overcome in taking care of zoo and wildlife creatures. Learn more about those challenges.

WE MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Unlike human patients, animals can't ask for help. They can't tell us where it hurts. They can't describe their pain and discomfort. That's where the Wild Animal Health Fund makes a difference.
