Explore the plains of Africa, delve into the rain forest of South America, and discover the many animals of Asia all at Nashville Zoo. From African elephants to toucans and Bengal tigers, Nashville Zoo is home to animals found all over the world. These beautiful creatures can be found in equally beautiful habitats like the new Giraffe Savannah, Alligator Cove, African Wild Dog Habitat and many more. Lorikeet Landing is another new exhibit that allows you to enter an aviary and be surrounded by more than 50 Australian parrots. Other exciting additions at the Zoo include the Wild Animal Carousel and a humongous Jungle Gym with over 66,000 square feet for sliding, swinging, climbing, crawling and exploring.
Nashville Zoo is accredited by the prestigious Association of Zoos and Aquariums, assuring the highest standards of animal care and husbandry. The Zoo is a non-profit organization located at 3777 Nolensville Road and is open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Our hours for October 16 – March 31 are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. AAZV attendees and their family members will receive FREE admission from October 18 – 28 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Free admission does NOT extend to our Halloween event, Ghouls at Grassmere, which runs from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on October 19-21 and 26-28. AAZV attendees MUST show proof of conference attendance for free admission.Directions to Nashville Zoo: From Knoxville, take I-40 West to Nashville. Continue onto I-24 East. Take Exit 54 for Briley Parkway / TN-155 W. Turn right at Briley Parkway / TN-155 W and continue for about a mile. Turn left onto Nolensville Pike and continue for about 1.6 miles. Nashville Zoo will be on your right, on Zoo Road.
