Dear AAZV  Members:

The American Association of Wildlife Veterinarians and AAZV hold many similarities in their respective missions and objectives, including our mutual interest in non-domestic animals and important conservation issues.  As a member of AAZV, you might find that joint membership in AAWV could provide you with additional benefits and resources.

Member dues are the primary source of revenue for AAWV and enable the production of newsletters, provide important AAWV representation for wildlife veterinarians at national meetings, and pay for cutting edge speakers at conferences we jointly organize.  Your dues will allow AAWV officers, advisory  COUNCIL, and member volunteers to serve you as a wildlife veterinarian.  In the upcoming year we will become more politically active in national policies with position statements and resolutions involving animal welfare, wildlife disease, and the ecological connections spanning human, domestic animal, and wildlife health issues.  We will also begin implementation of our newly developed Strategic Plan.  The goals within this plan were designed to chart a course for the organization that will allow it to exceed the expectations of members by adding significant value to individual membership and by raising the profile of organized wildlife veterinary medicine at the national level.  The plan can be accessed at http://www.aawv.net/AAWVFiveYrStratPlanFinal.pdf.

The easiest way to join or renew is to go to the membership application page on the website at http://www.aawv.net/memberapplication.htm , fill out the renewal form, and send a check  to:

We look forward to hearing from you!
