SAFE CAPTURE INTERNATIONAL, INC. POSTER AWARDS

THE AMERICAN ASSOCIATION OF ZOO VETERINARIANS INVITES POSTER SUBMISSIONS ON TOPIC AREAS RELATED TO ZOO AND WILDLIFE MEDICINE FOR CONSIDERATION FOR THE SAFE CAPTURE INTERNATIONAL, INC. POSTER AWARDS. THE INTENT OF THESE AWARDS IS TO ENCOURAGE AND RECOGNIZE SCHOLARLY EFFORTS IN ZOO AND WILDLIFE MEDICINE AND THE RELATED SCIENCES.

Safe Capture International, Inc. will present up to two awards, first place, $600, and second place, $400. Judges shall be appointed to assess the posters during the meeting, each poster will be assessed by five judges. Judging criteria shall include: originality of work, design and layout, scope of work represented by the presentation, appropriate use of imaging techniques, etc. The awards will be announced during the meeting.

 Poster submitters are expected to attend the annual AAZV meeting in the fall of 2006 to exhibit their work.  Topics for posters can include any traditional veterinary or related science discipline that impacts the management of non-domestic animals. The material submitted must be original.
