  • The world of zoo and wildlife veterinary medicine lost one of our treasures this past weekend (26 May) with the passing of Richard (Dick) Montali.  Dick was one of the early pioneers of zoological pathology, having served as Chief Pathologist for the Smithsonian National Zoo for 29 years.  He also worked at the Taronga Zoo in Australia, Johns Hopkins Medical School, and with the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.  For many years, Dick spearheaded the Annual CL Davis Clinical Pathology Workshop at AAZV Annual Conferences.  We are uncertain about memorial arrangements, but we will update when we get further information.

Career Center

Visit the Career Center hosted by AAZV, formerly the AAZV Job Bank.  This new site is the next generation of the job search.  Here you have the advantage to review job postings and post your resume in a secure environment plus you have something in common with the hiring entity or career advice provider.  Our community is perfectly suited for career help and counsel, job search and placement as well as locating eligible candidates.  The best part is it is available round the clock and can meet the demands of your schedule.

If you are considering a job posting for an Internship or Residency, be aware that all of these programs are listed in the Education Center and do not need to be listed as Job Posting.  If you prefer to list on both venues, you may do so.  For all new job postings, there is a $100 charge. After payment through the Online Store, you will be provided with the link to submit the posting. There is no charge to extend the Deadline Date up to one year from the time of the original posting.
