The Pathways – Human Dimensions of Wildlife Conference aims at bringing researchers and practitioners together that value the potential contributions of social science to the improvement of conservation management. The 2018 conference in Goslar marks the first stint in Europe since its original inception by the co-hosting Colorado State University in 2008. The conference’s key target audiences are scientists, governmental and non-governmental conservation and wildlife managers, representatives of projects focusing on wildlife comeback and coexistence, stakeholder groups including farmers, livestock breeders, hunters, tourism operators and other practitioners in the field. It wants to attract enthusiastic participants to engage with similar professionals across national, state, and institutional boundaries. The conference also marks a first milestone in the pan-European LIFE EUROLARGECARNIVORES project which aims to improve coexistence between humans and large carnivores through transboundary cooperation and experience-sharing. Attendees are encouraged to submit an organized session and/or individual abstract. Submission deadlines: • Individual abstracts for oral or poster presentations: February 28, 2018 • All other formats: February 15, 2018 For detailed information please visit the conference website at https://sites.warnercnr.colostate.edu/pathways/ and https://www.nna.niedersachsen.de/pathways/ or contact the organisers at pathways2018@nna.de
