Note** This training has been approved by the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Board for 24 hours CE for eligible Veterinary Staff. Incidents that involve technical rescue of animals require special considerations and knowledge. This class blends NFPA 1670 Technical Animal Rescue skills for both small and large animal with NFPA Surface Water Rescue skills and boat operations. This class will also meet the criteria for Animal Search and Rescue (ASAR) team training guidelines in the 2018 FEMA Resource Typing Instructors provide animal search and rescue training for animal control officers, humane responders, and first responders working in disaster or technical rescue situations. Participants will need to have swimming ability and proper PPE.
