Information Collection, Use, and Sharing
We are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We only have access to/collect information that you voluntarily give us via email or other direct contact from you.
AAZV collects, uses and discloses your Personal Information in its normal course of business for the following purposes:

▪ Where you have requested content or services from AAZV;
▪ Responding to your inquiries about content and other services;
▪ Making your resume available to prospective employers;

AAZV may share, sell, or rent limited member data, including postal address, to third parties, including companies that offer products and services related to veterinary medicine and might be of benefit to AAZV members. In addition, AAZV may share limited personal information of registered AAZV Conference attendees with conference exhibitors.

Our online member directory contains specific personal and professional information, depending on the information you provide to the AAZV through your membership application or updates to your online profile. Access to online member directory information is available only to AAZV members. You may opt out of any non-administrative future contacts from us at any time.
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing, filling orders for Health Certificates, or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The computers/servers in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.
Registration and User Posting
In order to use the member features of the Site, a user must first complete the registration form and pay for the appropriate membership. During registration a user is required to give certain information (such as name and email address). At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as gender or age) about yourself, but it is not required.
We request information from you on our order form. To buy from us, you must provide contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is only used for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use this information to contact you.
We use "cookies" on this site. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor's hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. Surveys & Contests
From time-to-time our site requests information via surveys or contests. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you may choose whether or not to participate and therefore disclose this information. Contact information will be used to notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.
We operate a Career Center that enables you to store your resume in our database. When you create a resume, you have the option of making the resume searchable or non-searchable and confidential or non-confidential. Not allowing your resume to be searchable means that you can use it to apply for a job online, but employers and recruiters will not have access to search it through our resume database product. If you choose to make your resume searchable, then all employers and recruiters will have access to our resume database. In addition to making your resume searchable or non-searchable, you may designate specific information contained within your resume as confidential. Such confidential information will not be shared with employers and recruiters who search the resume database or to whom you deliver your resume. You may remove your resume from our searchable database at any time. We are not responsible for the retention, use, or privacy of resumes in these instances, or for the use or privacy of resumes by any of such parties while resumes are in the database.
AAZV is committed to protecting the privacy of children. For that reason, we do not collect personal information at our website from those we actually know are under 13.
Transfer to the United States
If you are located outside of the United States, please note that the information you provide to us will be transferred to the United States and that by providing your information you consent to this transfer and storage of the data in the United States.
