The Public Relations Committee is primarily assigned the responsibility of organizing and carrying out the annual Silent and Live Auctions which occur at the AAZV Annual meeting. The funds raised by the auction goes to providing scholarship and research monies to vital projects supported by the AAZV.
In addition, the Public Relations Committee is jointly working with the Education Committee to get the word out about the AAZV. We have created a powerpoint presentation that can be given by any AAZV veterinarian at any veterinary school or other venue around the country. Our goal is introduce veterinary students to our field and make them aware of this challenging, yet rewarding field of practice. Lastly, the Public Relations Committee also assists in outreach to the general public. Whether that be in the form of a poster for display at conventions or general articles in media/TV/radio, the Public Relations Committee is set to help with informing others as to the mission of the AAZV.
