Clinical Experience (to be gained during program)
Students will participate in all aspects of care at the Sedgwick County Zoo. This may include routine/diagnostic examinations, sample collection/processing, necropsy, and any other components of care to the 3,000 individuals representing over 400 species.
Opportunities may exist for retrospective research projects or case reports.
2-4 weeks, variable
Please include a letter of intent (cover letter), curriculum vitae, and a list of at least two references who may be contacted. Letters of intent should include potential dates of interest and whether or not the externship will be for course credit.

Rolling acceptance; first-come, first-served basis.
Students of all years are welcome to apply, but priority may be given to those currently completing their clinical rotations.
Students are responsible for their own expenses.
Proof of negative tuberculin skin testing within 6 months required for students completing more than 1 week.
