Calling Veterinary Students to Volunteer

If you are a veterinary student or veterinary technician student and would like to help during some of the activities held before and/or during the main 2019 AAZV Annual Conference, here is your chance to apply. These opportunities include pre-conference workshops and general sessions for the Conference.

Please pay attention to the details of the workshops as they are different from the past years. Students working during the workshops benefit by being able to attend the workshop for no fee. Students working during the main Conference receive a lunch ticket for the day of their choice when an AAZV Business Lunch is held.

Instructions to Apply for a Workshop:

  1. Indicate your availability – BE SURE that you will be available for the workshop you request PRIOR to submitting your volunteer request.
  2. Select workshop for volunteering - Please RANK any of the ones you are interested in in order of preference.
  3. If you are willing to help with the main conference as well (ex: be a microphone runner for one of the sessions, etc.), please indicate that in your email.
  4. Email your availability and preferences - In the subject of the email, please write AAZV 2019 Vet Student Volunteer. Send email to: Julie Swenson at

We will assign the volunteers on a first come, first served basis starting on 1 July. The spots are few, so expect the workshops to be filled very rapidly. You must register for the Conference in order to be a student worker.

Thank you for your interest!
