The annual rate of pay for this position is $31,000.00 (CDN) A benefits package including life insurance, health & dental insurance with optional enhanced package option is provided as well as an EAP Program.

Our team is inspired to create and deliver extraordinary experiences for the people who visit and use the Park and Zoo including building friendly, supportive, effective relationships with stakeholders, our community and the general public. The Opportunity We are seeking a Veterinary Intern who will report to the Head, Veterinary Services. The Veterinary Intern will be a key member of the Animal Health Management Team. The purpose of this internship is to provide graduate veterinarians exposure to diverse aspects of zoological practice and to utilize their skills in the healthcare of captive wildlife. As the Veterinary Intern you will: • Support preventative and clinical animal care for a diverse collection of over 1500 animals representing 400 different species; • Perform medical, surgical and pathological case management tasks; • Assist in training and supervising veterinary staff, technicians and students; • Research and review current literature to prepare presentations to staff and veterinarians.
